Traveled 2 hours from Quito to explore Otavalo Market, one of the largest indigenous markets in South America. Otavalo Market is home to the indigenous Otavaleño people, famous for weaving textiles of wool and selling them in the market, known to locals as the Plaza de los Ponchos. The market sells everything from blankets and ponchos to hand crafted jewelry, instruments, leather goods, platters, spices, food, and more. Needless to say, I was in heaven! -Rebecca Muñoz @culturedsociety .
